How Things Work
How things work when you need estate planning. Your free initial consultation focuses on gathering a complete picture of your situation, family, needs, and what you want to have in your plan. First, we work together to determine what is best suited to your hopes and goals. Next, we create a plan tailored to your circumstances and wishes. Estate planning with Stone Legal is based on flat fees for the different pieces that combine to make your plan.
At your second meeting an attorney will review with you all the documents created to ensure accuracy. Additionally, you can ask questions so you understand how your estate plan works. Finally, you sign your plan documents and walk away with both originals to store in a safe place, and a copy you can reference as needed. Not sure about something after you have signed your documents? Give us a call so we can help.
How things work if you are not sure your current estate plan meets your needs: if it’s been three or more years since you put together your documents and you have concerns because things have changed, contact Stone Legal. We offer a complimentary consultation to assess and update your existing documents. During this meeting, we’ll review your current estate plan together, explore any changes that might be necessary, and ensure your plan aligns with your present circumstances. Any modifications we agree are needed will be billed at flat fees, tailored to the specific changes you choose.
How things work if you have young children: we streamline our young family planning process to fit your busy life. Give us a call and we will set up an appointment to sign your documents and send you our Young Family Organizer. Return this at least two weeks prior to your appointment. We will draft your documents and those will be ready for your signing appointment. If you have questions or concerns along the way we can answer those for you. The goal is to meet your needs and keep it simple.
